Customer Service Director - Burton on Trent

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Customer Service Director to join our Environmental Science Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Customer Service Director to join our team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in customer service leadership in a fast-paced environment, along with knowledge of laboratory principles and UKAS, is essential to thrive in this position.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

- Lead and develop the customer service function, acting as the strategic link between operations and customer service delivery
- Provide hands-on leadership to ensure excellent customer service from sample collection through to the provision of timely and accurate reports
- Drive service excellence, team development, and business growth whilst maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

To be a successful Customer Service Director, you should be able to demonstrate:

- Proven customer service leadership and management experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience within customer-facing roles with demonstrable account management success
- Track record of team development, coaching, and mentoring
- Experience in handling conflict and creating positive outcomes through effective negotiation
