Senior Software Consultant - Brazil

We are looking for a Senior Software Consultant who shares our values of pragmatism, professionalism, and transparency to join our team in Brazil. You will leverage your expertise both when working with our clients and internally, helping shape the future of Codurance.

As a Senior Software Consultant, you will combine strategic vision with hands-on technical delivery, guiding clients and engineering teams in transforming complex business challenges into high-impact, sustainable software solutions.

We support our clients in many different ways, offering opportunities to work across a broad range of client and internal projects. You might join a Codurance delivery team to build a greenfield product for a startup or help develop a mission-critical system for a large enterprise.

You may also work as an embedded crafts person within an existing client development team, delivering software while helping strengthen engineering practices and enabling teams to build, maintain, and evolve software more independently and sustainably.

Requirements

- Drive software design using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean and Hexagonal Architecture principles.
- Promote Clean Code , SOLID principles, and strong software engineering practices.
- Define and implement testing strategies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) .
- Support automated testing initiatives using tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright .
- Contribute to DevOps, cloud engineering, and software quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Work directly with clients, facilitating technical discussions, leading workshops, presenting solutions, and supporting architectural decisions.
- Mentor engineering teams and help improve engineering practices and the continuous delivery of high-quality software.

Essential Requirements

- Senior-level experience: Extensive professional experience in software development and architecture, with 12+ years of experience .
- Consulting experience: Previous experience working for technology consulting firms or delivering consulting projects for multiple clients, preferably in the Brazilian market.
- Proven customer-facing experience: A demonstrated track record of direct client engagement, including requirements gathering, technical discussions, presentations, workshops, expectation management, and decision-making.
- Software development: Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: .NET, C#, Java, or TypeScript .
- Frontend and backend development: Practical experience developing modern applications with React and/or backend services and APIs using Node.js .
- Software quality: Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Testing practices: Practical knowledge of TDD and/or BDD, preferably applied throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Engineering practices and methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments focused on software quality, maintainability, and sustainable software evolution.
- Cloud computing: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- AI-assisted development: Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools to generate, refactor, debug, and test production code, with the ability to critically review and validate AI-generated outputs.

Nice to Have

- Experience developing with Angular or Kotlin .
- Knowledge of DDD, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, Clean Code, and SOLID principles.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Software Quality Assurance (SQA).
- Fluent or advanced English communication skills.
- Previous experience as a technical lead, engineering leader, or mentor.

Location and Working Model

- Location: Based in São Paulo or nearby cities within a reasonable commuting distance to the city and client offices.
- Working model: Hybrid, with availability to work from client offices 3 days per week .
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a consulting environment, with frequent interaction with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
