role
Every name you'll call already knows us. You sell. We handle the service.
$20/hr ($41,600 a year) plus 10% of new premium over $40K a month · About $83,600 a year at a $75K month (targets, not typical results) · Monday–Friday, 9 to 5 · Idaho Falls office · One seat
I'm John Page. My dad and I started Page Insurance in 1999. We're independent, so we sell Auto-Owners, Safeco, Progressive and more. A captive agent quotes one company. You'll quote several on every call.
If you sell for one company today, you know the worst part of the job. You build the trust, then lose the household because your one company raised its rates. Here, when one company is high, you quote another and keep the client.
Why this seat exists: about 2,000 eastern Idaho households already know the Page name, and we don't have enough hours to call them. I'm filling one seat whose whole job is to sell.
The honest version
About 60 dials, 90 minutes of talk time and 3 household quotes presented a day. Plenty won't answer. Plenty who do will say no.
Who you'll call
- Clients with one policy who should have two.
- Former clients, already re-quoted by our rater before you dial.
- People who asked us for a quote. You call them within 15 minutes.
What you won't do
Billing, ID cards, claims, changes and renewals. Once you write it, our service team owns it. A rater builds your quotes, so you spend your day selling.

Earning $17–22 an hour in town with no upside? The floor here is about the same. The ceiling isn't.
$20 an hour, every hour. Past $40,000 in a month, you get 10% of every dollar over it, with no steps. These are targets, not typical results; the hourly wage is the only certain part.
This is NOT for you if
- You want a paycheck that doesn't ride on a number.
- You'd rather help existing customers than ask for the sale. That's a good job, just not this one.
- You need remote days from day one. The first 90 days are in the office; after that, home days are earned by hitting the activity floor.
This IS for you if
- You've had a daily call count and a number, and you know what yours was.
- Part of your pay has ridden on what you sold.
- You can tell me your best month: the number, the date, the product. It's the first thing I'll ask, and I'll check it.
What else you get
- 30 paid days off in year one: 10 vacation, 7 sick, 13 holidays.
- SIMPLE IRA with up to a 3% match.
- $50 a month toward Aflac coverage.
- No license yet? We reimburse the exams, fingerprints and license fee (about $275). It has to be issued before day one.
- We don't offer a health plan today. If that's a dealbreaker, better you know now.
How hiring works
- Apply online. About ten minutes. One question asks for your best month.
- A 10-minute Google Meet with me, with early-morning, lunch and after-5 slots. Applied from a job board? First send me a 60-second practice voicemail from your phone. I want to hear you sell.
- Ten math questions online, because the bonus math is your money. Then a 90-minute office visit, unpaid because it's a tryout, not work: mock calls with our team playing the client, recorded so every candidate gets the same fair look.
- References and an offer, conditional on a background check and an active license. About two weeks start to finish.
I'm reading applications in the order they come in. You'll hear from me within three business days at every step, yes or no.
One seat. Have your best month ready.
P.S. The best-month question isn't a trick. The people I want have been waiting for someone to ask.
