Minimum Qualifications
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
5+ years of RF transceiver design experience for cellular systems, with a focus on transmit architectures
Expert knowledge of communication transmitters (cellular FR1 and FR2, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth), including TX lineup design and component-level trade-offs (gain, linearity, noise, power, thermal), with proven ownership of TX performance metrics (ACLR, EVM, spurious emissions, spectrum masks).
Working knowledge of TX system-level concepts and control procedures, such as power control, digital predistortion (DPD), and envelope tracking (ET).
Thorough knowledge of 3GPP cellular standards (LTE/LTE-A, 5G NR), including TX waveforms, RF requirements, and system use cases.
Strong expertise in machine learning, with deep theoretical fundamentals in classical methods (clustering, dimensionality reduction), neural networks, and supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
Proven record of applying machine learning to RF problems such as calibration, linearization (e.g., DPD), or modeling, with a solid understanding of trade-offs (model complexity, data requirements, generalization, interpretability, computational cost on embedded hardware).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate in multicultural, global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with mmWave architectures, phased array systems and related control concepts.
Knowledge and experience in communication systems with a focus on the physical layer (e.g., modulation and coding, OFDM, channel estimation, link-level performance).
Background in digital signal processing.
Understanding of SoC integration constraints and multi-chip RF architectures.
