About this role
Kroll’s Director, Product Management will lead the development of the platform capabilities and operational workflows that support the data-capture Center of Excellence. This person owns the product direction for how data is captured, structured, and made available at the front of the valuation process — turning a manual, end-of-process activity into a scalable, platform-native capability. They translate the needs of valuation teams and clients into a clear product roadmap and work hand-in-hand with engineering to deliver it.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Own the product roadmap for data-capture and the operational workflows of the Center of Excellence — what gets built, in what order, and why.
- Define the platform capabilities needed to capture data once, at the source, with lineage back to source documents, and make it available across models, reporting, and benchmarks.
- Work directly with the CoE analysts to turn real capture work into operational and product requirements.
- Partner with engineering to sequence and deliver the build; make trade-off and prioritization calls.
- Define what “done” means for each capability — client-usable and platform-complete — and hold the bar.
- Coordinate with valuation, data, and GTM stakeholders so the platform reflects how the business actually works and sells.
Essential Traits:
- Mid-level to senior product manager or product leader, with 8-10+ years of experience with a track record in data organizations — not just building features, but shaping data products and the operating model around them.
- Direct experience at a large financial data provider (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P, MSCI, ICE, Moody’s) — someone who understands what a scaled, commercial data business looks like and how it operates.
- Ability to translate messy, real-world workflows into structured product requirements and a clear roadmap.
- Comfort working closely with engineers on technical trade-offs, and with domain experts on valuation and credit.
- Bias toward shipping and iterating against real client use, not building in isolation.
- Familiarity with private markets, valuation, or credit is a strong plus.
