About Our Job
This unpaid internship is designed for an individual fluent in ASL who is interested in learning how accessibility services are coordinated within HRCP Access for All Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS). The intern will shadow the Program Coordinator and Program Administrator to understand how ASL Interpreting and CART services are scheduled, how community support is managed, and how outreach, resource development, and administrative operations function within a government accessibility division.

Location & Schedule
The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field several days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.

- Develop a foundational understanding of freelance interpreting practices with professional awareness by learning team approaches, exploring community involvement opportunities, and examining power and bias.
- Provide general administrative and project support, including organizing files, preparing materials, and helping with events.
