About this role
The Engineering Manager will lead a team building and operating scalable OCI metering services that collect, validate, and aggregate cloud resource usage for downstream pricing, rating, and billing. They will own roadmap delivery over a 2–4 quarter horizon, hire and develop engineers, and guide architecture for high-throughput distributed systems with strong data correctness, fault tolerance, and availability. The role includes overseeing batch and streaming data pipelines using managed distributed processing platforms such as Data Flow. Responsibilities include setting engineering standards and SLOs; driving performance optimization, observability, reconciliation, and recovery; ensuring operational readiness and effective on-call coverage; and overseeing security, automation, and safe deployments and rollbacks. The manager will partner with compute, networking, storage, and commercial platform teams to deliver reliable metering capabilities and support new consumption models. Experience with Java, Python, Spark, and cloud data processing platforms is preferred.
