VNG ASSET PROTECTION SUPERVISOR
Coordinates and supervises both employee and contractor activities related to damage prevention and right-of-way maintenance for Atlanta Gas Light and Florida City Gas to ensure compliance with applicable local, Federal, State and Company regulations, policies and procedures. Supports the Manager, Asset Protection by helping to provide corporate oversight, standardization, and management for the responsibilities of the Asset Protection team.
Education, Certifications/Licenses:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers license
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree
Related Work Experience:
Required:
- 5+ years of experience of Gas Distribution and/or Transmission operations related.
Preferred:
- Experience locating underground natural gas facilities
- Experience related to right of way management and maintenance activity work
- Experience Supervising and managing performance in a utility environment
- Knowledge and experience within natural gas operations
- Experience working with federal and state regulatory agencies
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
Required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, experience using the Microsoft Office suite, leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Technical field knowledge of the gas distribution and/or transmission operating systems
- Knowledge and experience in handling natural gas emergencies
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
A combination of physical and office work is required.
- Walking and patrolling pipeline right of ways by foot up to 5 miles per day
- Climbing in and out of excavation sites to perform inspections
- Exposure to outdoor elements (rain, sun, heat, cold)
- Repeatedly lift up to 20 pounds overhead in a pile driving motion
