We are seeking a high-performing Dealership Manager to lead our Pukekohe Dealership. This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for driving performance across sales, service, and parts while ensuring an exceptional customer experience at every touchpoint.
As Dealership Manager, you will lead and develop a team of people leaders, ensuring they have the support, accountability, and direction needed to build engaged, high-performing teams. You will foster a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration, where team members are well informed, aligned to business objectives, and empowered to deliver outstanding results.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a business that is deeply committed to supporting New Zealand's agriculture and construction industries. Success in this role will come from your ability to set clear expectations, coach and mentor leaders, drive continuous improvement, and create an environment where people take ownership of both their performance and the customer experience.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the overall performance of the dealerships, ensuring strong collaboration across sales and aftersales.
- Driving machinery sales growth by supporting the team with pipeline management and building strong relationships with rural and contracting customers.
- Overseeing aftersales operations and ensuring key metrics such as absorption, aged WIP and inventory levels are actively managed and continuously improved.
- Creating a high-performing and accountable team culture through clear expectations, regular coaching, and ongoing development of frontline leaders and staff.
- Managing the dealership P&L, analysing performance against budget, and taking proactive steps to improve margins, efficiency, and profitability.
What you will bring
You will be a reliable and team-oriented warehouse professional who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and delivering excellent service. With a strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory processes, you'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Your ability to communicate effectively, use warehouse technology confidently, and contribute positively to a collaborative team culture will be key to your success.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven leadership experience in a sales or operational role, preferably in the agricultural machinery, automotive or construction sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence managing budgets and business performance.
- A people first leadership style with the ability to hold others accountable while fostering trust and engagement.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Resilience, initiative, and a drive to succeed in a dynamic environment.
