About this role

- For backend: Strong Java and Spring Boot skills for developing and supporting IDV/vendor platform services and REST APIs.
- Experience integrating third-party identity-verification vendors, including authentication, workflow orchestration, retries, and error handling.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues using logs and metrics while ensuring secure handling of sensitive identity data.
[1:10 PM] Overall: ## Full Stack Software Engineer II

Build and operate partner-facing identity verification (IDV) solutions across React micro-frontends and Java/Spring Boot backend services. Own features from technical design through production support while collaborating independently across product, design, data, platform, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, test, and operate secure, scalable end-to-end features. - Develop React/TypeScript components and micro-frontend integrations. - Build Java/Spring Boot APIs, business logic, and IDV/vendor platform integrations. - Handle authentication, workflow orchestration, retries, failures, and sensitive identity data securely. - Work with REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven services, MySQL, caching, and Kafka. - Verify changes through unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, including standalone and host-MFE testing. - Use CI/CD and production observability—logs, metrics, traces, and alerts—to deliver and support reliable services. - Navigate ambiguity, clarify requirements, and independently drive solutions from discovery to production. - Coordinate dependencies and resolve integration or operational issues across multiple teams. - Contribute to technical design, code reviews, engineering standards, and mentoring.

Required Qualifications

- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience. - Strong Java and Spring Boot/Dropwizard experience, including production APIs and microservices. - Experience with React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and component-based frontend development. - Experience integrating third-party platforms or vendors; IDV, fraud, payments, or KYC experience is beneficial. - Knowledge of distributed systems, relational databases, efficient SQL, and automated testing. - Experience with Git, CI/CD, cloud environments, and production incident handling. - Strong ownership, communication, and ability to make pragmatic technical trade-offs. - Experience using modern AI development tools while maintaining engineering quality.

Nice to Have

- AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, GraphQL and high-volume service experience. - Micro-frontend/component-service/Capla architecture and design-system experience. - Accessibility, performance tuning, experimentation, or e-commerce/travel domain knowledge.
