About this role

Help shape how we communicate with Chinese-speaking clients. Combining Chinese-language editorial expertise with financial knowledge, you will conceptualize, translate and adapt English-language materials into clear, accurate and engaging Traditional Chinese content. You will use firm-approved AI and language tools to improve delivery, while applying editorial judgment and maintaining quality and control standards.

As a Private Bank Marketing Content Editor (Traditiional Chinese) Associate in the Asia Marketing team, you will oversee Traditional Chinese content across investments, products and solutions, wealth advisory, philanthropy, alternatives, market-specific campaigns, websites, banker communications, client events and leadership communications. You will review AI-generated drafts, refine Chinese-language messaging and coordinate stakeholder reviews, business approvals and required submissions. As tools and workflows evolve, you will contribute increasingly to Chinese-language editing, content adaptation and broader marketing content development across key channels.

Job responsibilities

- Deliver Chinese-language content across marketing channels, including email, web, social media, digital platforms, events and banker/client communications, while contributing to content strategy that aligns messaging, audience needs and business priorities to deepen client engagement and support business growth.
- Translate, edit, adapt and transcreate English-language source materials into high-quality Chinese-language private banking and wealth management marketing content, with Traditional Chinese as the primary focus and Simplified Chinese support where required.
- Improve clarity, structure, tone and audience relevance across digital, campaign, event and client communications while preserving approved meaning, financial accuracy, relevant qualifications and brand tone, and escalating substantive changes for review.
- Use firm-approved AI and translation tools to produce, review and refine drafts within applicable data-handling requirements, applying human quality controls to AI-generated and vendor-produced translations for accuracy, completeness, terminology, fluency, unsupported additions and market-appropriate language before approval.
- Partner with content owners, marketing, product and solutions, legal and compliance stakeholders to clarify source materials, resolve financial, linguistic or contextual questions, support applicable marketing and cross-border reviews, and escalate questions to the relevant approvers.
- Coordinate end-to-end content workflows, including intake, prioritisation, timelines, version control, stakeholder reviews, business and compliance approvals, documentation submissions and timely escalation in accordance with established processes.
- Maintain Chinese terminology glossaries, editorial style guides and reusable language resources, using validated financial terminology and recurring review findings to improve consistency, turnaround time, AI-assisted workflows, vendor quality and translation efficiency.
- Review and confirm translation accuracy where required, maintaining quality-control records and distinguishing linguistic review from business or compliance approval.
- Manage external vendor delivery, including briefing, quality feedback, timelines and payment processing, while identifying opportunities to improve turnaround, reduce rework and optimise external translation spend without compromising quality or control standards.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

- Excellent written Traditional Chinese and professional English proficiency, with strong Simplified Chinese literacy and demonstrated ability to translate, edit and adapt English-language content for Chinese-speaking audiences.
- Demonstrated Chinese-language translation and editorial experience involving financial services, investment, private banking, wealth management or related sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of investment asset classes, products, and market terminology.
- Strong Chinese-language editorial judgment and meticulous proofreading skills, including the ability to improve structure, clarity, tone and readability while preserving financial meaning and relevant qualifications.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, including legal and compliance review teams.
- Ability to manage structured content review and approval workflows, including version control, documentation, quality checks and timely escalation.
