About this role

We are building Terafab, a vertically integrated factory at unprecedented scale. Without reliable process-support systems, production equipment does not run.

You will own dry vacuum pumps, process chillers, point-of-use chemical abatement scrubbers, and related subsystems including gate valves, pipe heaters, and nitrogen injection. You will commission this fleet, prove it is production-ready, then hand it to operations with clear ownership, procedures, and health metrics. You will work with equipment vendors from install through full production ramp.

This position is open across multiple levels. Level and title are based on your experience, skills, and overall qualifications during the interview process.

- Own point-of-use equipment from vendor selection through install, commission, qualification, and production handoff
- Commission dry vacuum pumps, process chillers, chemical abatement scrubbers, and related subsystems
- Partner with OEMs on design, chemical compatibility, mechanical risk, reliability, and safe abatement
- Build PM programs, spare strategies, uptime metrics, and SOPs, then train production owners
- Define fleet health using pressure, temperature, flow, and abatement data with SPC limits
- Lead root cause on failures and set PM intervals from usage, OEM guidance, and failure modes
- Work with production, process, facilities, EHS, and automation on excursions and equipment interactions

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or similar, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of equipment engineering or ownership in high-volume manufacturing, including commission and maintenance, semiconductor a plus
- Hands-on experience with vacuum pumps, process chillers, and chemical or gas abatement systems
- Working knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and chemistry for process chemicals, safety, and compatibility
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and OEM documentation, and use industrial sensors
- Experience handing commissioned equipment to production with owners, procedures, and health metrics
- Proficiency with equipment data and SPC, plus clear written and oral communication
