JD - SW Test Automation Lead – Python & CAPL

Experience: 8+ Years
Location: Bangalore / Hybrid (As per client requirement)

We are seeking an experienced SW Test Automation Lead with 8+ years of experience in automotive software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Python , CAPL scripting , and automotive communication protocols, along with proven experience in leading test automation activities for automotive ECU validation and verification.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead software test automation activities for automotive embedded systems and ECU validation.

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and CAPL .

- Create and execute automated test cases for functional, integration, and system-level testing.

- Analyze software requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans.

- Perform validation of vehicle network communication using CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and related protocols.

- Drive defect analysis, root cause identification, and issue resolution with development teams.

- Mentor and guide test engineers on automation best practices and testing methodologies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software releases.

- Generate test reports, metrics, and automation coverage reports.

Mandatory Skills

- 8+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.

- Strong hands-on experience in Python scripting .

- Strong expertise in CAPL scripting and Vector toolchain.

- Experience with CANoe , CANalyzer , and automotive network testing.

- Good understanding of CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet protocols.

- Experience in ECU testing, integration testing, and system validation.

- Knowledge of test automation framework development.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Automotive Embedded Systems domain.

- Exposure to AUTOSAR (Classic/Adaptive).

- Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO 26262.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

- Experience with HIL/SIL testing environments.

- Exposure to ADAS or Vehicle Platform projects.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or related field.
