The Value of Active Minds

About Jupiter

Jupiter is one of the UK’s leading investment management companies with just over 500 employees and £73.7 billion worth of assets under management (as at 30th June 2026).

Jupiter provides investment services to individual and institutional investors through mutual funds (UK unit trusts, Luxembourg SICAVs and Dublin OEICs), separately managed accounts and sub-advised funds. Jupiter has experienced a period of international growth with offices open in EMEA and APAC.

The majority of our employees are based in our London office located just minutes from Victoria station which provides stair-free access from both the Underground’s Victoria line and National Rail platforms, as well as limited road crossings to the Jupiter office. Our London office was designed to encourage employees to live active, healthy lives with floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for greater natural light and the benefit of a private balcony, table tennis room, cycle storage and on-site shower and locker facilities. The short distance to Green Park and St James' Park also provides employees with a natural space to relax during their lunch break and a healthy alternative to office-based meetings.

We offer our UK employees a 3:2 hybrid working arrangement where Tuesdays, Thursdays and a third day of your choice are worked from the office. The other two days may be worked from home.  This facilitates collaboration and allows employees to maximise productivity whilst maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

Background

The Client Outcomes team is part of the Product Structuring team, and ultimately part of the wider General Counsel’s Office. This structure provides the team with a degree of independence from other stakeholders involved in the product process, enabling them to focus on adhering to robust governance principles, while being collaborative partners to the wider commercial business in achieving Jupiter’s strategic goals.

Purpose of the Role:

The Head of Client Outcomes is accountable for all activity relating to client outcomes governance, including Consumer Duty board reporting and the delivery of the Assessment of Value (AoV) and Annual Product Review (APR) processes.

In addition to being responsible for the regulatory reviews of Jupiter’s product ranges, the Client Outcomes team works collaboratively with stakeholders across the business, particularly the Product Structuring Team, Client Group and Investment Management, through all stages of the product process to ensure that client outcomes have been properly taken into account at the product design, build and implementation stages.

A key requirement of the role is the ability to blend strong compliance and regulatory expertise with commercial awareness and sound judgement. The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating areas where regulatory requirements, product considerations, client needs and commercial obligations are met while helping the business arrive at practical, proportionate and commercially informed solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Consumer Duty

- Own the end-to-end production of Consumer Duty management information (MI) and outcomes reporting for the Board and other relevant governance forums.
- Coordinate cross-functional input from internal stakeholders to build a coherent, evidenced-based view of client outcomes across the four Consumer Duty outcomes: products & services, price & value, consumer understanding and consumer support.
- Prepare board papers, outcomes dashboards, narrative commentary and reports that clearly articulate outcomes performance, emerging risks and remediation activity.

Assessment of Value (AoV) and Annual Product Review (APR)

- Lead delivery of the annual/periodic AoV and APR processes across the Group’s fund ranges, coordinating input from Investment, Client Group, Compliance, Product, Business Development, Operations and Finance teams.
- Ensure AoV and APR methodologies remain fit for purpose, evidence robust challenge and, in the case of the AoV, aligns with FCA guidance (COLL 6.6.20 / Consumer Duty price & value outcome expectations).

Regulatory, Product & Commercial Judgement

- Act as a key partner to Client Group, Compliance and Product Structuring, to ensure emerging regulatory requirements, product considerations and potential client outcomes risks are understood and addressed across the business.
- Proactively advise relevant stakeholders across the business on regulatory expectations regarding client outcomes and client outcome considerations for product proposals.
- Ensure commercial considerations are appropriately understood and taken into consideration within client outcomes discussions, without compromising regulatory obligations, particularly the firm's commitment to delivering good client outcomes.

Team & People Management

- Manage and develop two direct reports, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews and supporting career development.
- Plan and prioritise team workload across the Consumer Duty, AoV and Annual Product Review reporting cycles, ensuring deadlines for governance forums, committees and boards are consistently met.
- Foster a culture of high-quality, evidence-based output and proactivity within the team.

Desired Skills / Experience

- Strong working knowledge of UK asset management products (OEICs, unit trusts, ICVCs and investment trusts) and how they are distributed and priced.
- In-depth knowledge of the key client outcomes frameworks (Consumer Duty, Annual Product Review and Assessment of Value (COLL 6 and PRIN)) and the experience of the practical application and delivery of each (including data collection, analysis, reporting and governance).
- Knowledge and experience of using technology to support the delivery of business processes, including workflow management tools and AI.
- Confident report and governance paper writer, able to write clearly and succinctly, and confident and clear presenter to senior committees and Boards.
- Demonstrable ability to combine regulatory and compliance expertise with strong commercial awareness and judgement.

What Success Looks Like

- Consumer Duty, AoV and APR reporting being delivered accurately, on time and to a high standard.
- The Client Outcomes team being well managed, motivated and at the forefront of adopting technological solutions to support the delivery of key processes.
- The Head of Client Solutions having strong, evidence-based visibility of client outcomes risk across the business.

Additional Role Details

- This role is subject to the Conduct Rules set by the FCA.
