About this role
Your Mission:
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Aircraft Prototype & Industrialisation, you will be responsible for ensuring manufacturability and efficient build-up of Vaeridion’s aircraft prototypes. You will drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM), support the design release process, and develop the tooling, jigs, and assembly concepts required for prototype manufacturing.
You will play a key role in bridging design and operations, ensuring that aircraft structures, systems, and assemblies can be built safely, efficiently, and with high quality. Your work will directly enable the successful planning and execution of aircraft prototype assembly.
Your Day-to-Day:
Design for Manufacturing & Design Release
· Drive DFM activities across aircraft structures, systems, and assemblies
· Work closely with design and systems engineering teams to ensure manufacturability, robustness, and scalability of designs
· Support and challenge design release decisions from a manufacturing perspective
· Ensure designs are aligned with assembly constraints, tooling concepts, and production readiness
Assembly Planning & Industrialisation
· Plan and define assembly sequences, workflows, and build concepts for aircraft prototype manufacturing
· Develop build plans for complex assemblies, including structures, systems, and propulsion components
· Support rapid iteration cycles typical for prototype development while maintaining process stability
· Ensure efficient integration of all aircraft components into a complete prototype
Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures Development
· Design, specify, and implement tooling, jigs, and fixtures required for assembly and integration
· Work closely with design and support teams to develop robust and reusable tooling solutions
· Ensure tooling supports safe, repeatable, and high-quality assembly processes
· Oversee procurement, build, and commissioning of tooling where required
Manufacturing Process Development
· Develop and continuously improve manufacturing and assembly processes for aircraft prototypes
· Define work instructions, process documentation, and best practices
· Ensure processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with future production needs
· Drive standardisation and continuous improvement across manufacturing activities
Cross-Functional Coordination
· Act as key interface between design, manufacturing, and test teams
· Support integration activities by resolving manufacturability and assembly challenges
· Collaborate with engineering disciplines to ensure smooth transition from design to build
· Coordinate with suppliers and external partners as required
Health, Safety & Compliance
· Ensure all manufacturing processes and tooling meet safety and regulatory requirements
· Support risk assessments, safe operating procedures, and compliance activities
· Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all work areas
Your Profile:
Education
· Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
Years of experience
· Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in aerospace or similarly complex industries
· Strong experience in DFM, industrialisation, and assembly planning
Hard Skills

· Experience with manufacturing process development, documentation, and industrialisation
· Familiarity with CAD tools and PLM systems is a strong plus
· Experience with applicable rules, regulations, harmonised norms, and industry standards (e.g. aerospace manufacturing standards)
· Familiarity with electric propulsion systems and high-voltage components is a plus
Soft Skills
· Strong ownership and structured, solution-oriented working style
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities
· Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Language Requirements
