12-month contract, office-based 3/4 days per week

Mint Velvet began when founders Liz Houghton and Lisa Agar-Rea set out to create an unfailingly chic collection of contemporary, great quality staples and elevated fits that they felt were missing from their wardrobes. Feeling frustrated that they couldn’t find anything they wanted to wear, or the great customer service they craved, they started fusing relaxed comfort with glamorous yet wearable fashion trends. The Role

Leadership
- Partnering with senior leaders across our business to drive commerciality and ensure actions are being taken to drive profitability
- Being a strategic partner for your respective Buyers & the first point of call for key risk & opportunity-related decision-making
- Conducting regular performance reviews, sharing constructive feedback, celebrating success and managing any performance issues promptly
- Creating an inspiring, effective, collaborative, and can-do culture where teamwork and adaptability thrive
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues across the wider business to deliver function and brand objectives
- Leading a culture of curiosity, ensuring we interrogate & question everything to identify the best possible commercial outcomes
Trading & Omnichannel Stock Optimisation
- Being ultimately responsible for omnichannel trade optimisation across your product area(s), ensuring we continue to maximize growth opportunities
- Partnering with the key channel trading owners to ensure the requirements of each channel are clearly understood and being responded to within the department
- Ensuring you are always equipped with a nuanced understanding of your departments’ trading patterns and leading the management of key risks and opps in line with dept and company level OTB
Data & Analysis
- Commissioning and developing nuanced analysis and creating actionable insights from the product and market data available to support the development of the wider Product team strategy
- Articulating impactful detail and insight which adds value to senior B&M Leadership team decision-making, and supports the delivery of profitable sales
- Providing contextualized insight on the Macro environment to the business and seeking to understand how this will impact the department or wider business

- You have proven omnichannel trading experience, and are able to make brave and wise trading decisions at pace within the context of an evolving macro environment
- You’re highly numerate, analytical and innovative, which you balance with a real love of product
- You’re a strong line manager, with the ability to motivate & develop your team to drive results
- You’re highly resilient - able to adapt, respond and effectively lead your team through challenges
- You take a collaborative approach - focusing on strong relationship-building and great communication with people at all levels, sharing your ideas and suggestions clearly, positively, and convincingly
- Working up to senior leadership level, you’re an impactful communicator and influencer - courageous in backing your decisions whilst also responding gracefully to challenge, knowing when to accept direction
- You’re brilliantly proactive and organised, able to manage priorities and ensure focuses are clear in a fast-moving context
