Driver - Light Vehicle

Johnson Controls is seeking a reliable light vehicle driver to support technical teams across Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on safe and timely technician transport, document and material handling, and dependable day-to-day support for field operations.

What will you do

You will help keep site activity moving by providing transportation and collection/delivery support across Abu Dhabi. The role requires strong local route knowledge, careful driving, and a practical approach in a fast-paced field environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Pick up and drop technicians to and from project and service sites across Abu Dhabi.
- Drive light vehicles safely in both manual and automatic transmission.
- Navigate Abu Dhabi roads and locations efficiently to support on-time site visits.
- Collect cheques, materials, and other assigned items from customers, suppliers, and offices.
- Submit invoices and related documents accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with technical teams to support daily field schedules and urgent movements.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and basic daily checks before use.
- Follow company instructions, traffic laws, and site access requirements at all times.

How You Will Do It

- You will plan routes carefully, stay aware of traffic conditions, and keep technicians moving on schedule.
- You will handle documents, cheques, and materials with care, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- You will work closely with technical teams, respond quickly to changing priorities, and remove avoidable delays.
- You will take ownership of vehicle safety, punctuality, and day-to-day follow-through.
- You will communicate clearly, raise issues early, and contribute to a safe, coordinated way of working.

What we look for

- 3-4 years of experience as a driver, preferably in Abu Dhabi.
- Valid light vehicle driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi locations and roads, with experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Good time management, reliability, and the ability to handle urgent requests in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to Have

- Experience supporting technical, maintenance, or service teams in the field.
- Previous exposure to document collection, delivery, or operations support work.
