Your Role
Work closely with GSO, Quality, Design, OEM supplier and other relevant departments to give technical support to project manager. Act as responsible for the maintenance of current products from R&D perspective, which include cost competitiveness and quality performance.
A Typical Day
Follow up OEM/ODM product development process for Outdoor Kitchen Products, provide technical support to project manager:
- Work closely with supplier and industrial designer to create and update R&D design and ensure prototype execution according to product spec;
- Arrange related tests and make technical feasibility report, update it at every PD process CP points;
- Verify BOMs of ODM products and inquire supplier for all components based on R&D design;
- Following up OEM&ODM trial run & pilot run samples, create and update testing plan according to sample status inspection result, fix all issues found during testing together with suppliers;
- Make DFMEA& PSRA reports together with all project members and supplier based on samples inspection, feedback to supplier and provide technical suggestion, following up improving status and update both reports;
- Contribute to find technical solutions to match product requirements, design, fit-feel-finish, cost and quality targets;
- Inspect all literature drawings especially technical clauses on labels, UMs prepared by supplier, feedback to project members and make sure all declaration keep align with products.
l Sometimes support on other products such as Hoods, MWO, Oven, FSC and Cooktops, etc when required.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related, college degree is acceptable if candidate is very outstanding.
- 5 year experience on project management and product development at least;
- Good Knowledge about BBQ and Other Outdoor Kitchen products from technical design perspective;
- Good mechanical design ability and skilled in AutoCAD or PROE or CATIA etc ;
- Fluent in both spoken and written English can be as priority;
- Good understanding on CCC, CB, SAA certification can be priority;
- Good understanding on CB, IEC home appliance standard can be priority;
- Teamwork orientation, good communication and organization ability;
- Basic knowledge in electrical and gas safety.
- Good understanding on New Product Development Process;
l Basic knowledge of approval rules in different countries;
- Willing to travel
