Role Purpose
Lead commercial growth of Anthogyr across the UK & Ireland by translating the agreed brand and go-to-market strategy into effective local plans, strong sales execution and sustainable customer development. This hands-on role combines leadership of a focused sales team, management of the Ireland distributor, a limited personal territory and the coordination of brand activation. Working closely with UK Product Management, colleagues in France and the wider Implant Business Unit, the RSM will build incremental business that complements Straumann and Neodent.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Leadership & Performance
· Lead, coach and develop the two Territory Managers in London and Leeds, setting clear performance objectives, individual development plans and regular field coaching.
· Deliver revenue, acquisition, retention and existing-practice growth objectives through disciplined territory and account planning, CRM use, forecasting and the Straumann Group sales process.
· Remain visible in the field, supporting customer meetings, commercial negotiations and opportunities while holding the team accountable for execution.
· Manage the Ireland distributor through agreed business plans, sales objectives, periodic performance reviews, product support and clear follow-up actions.
2. Commercial & Territory Development
· Execute local growth plans in priority locations, using market and account insight to focus effort where consistent customer engagement can deliver sustainable returns.
· Personally manage a small, defined territory close to the RSM’s base to develop new accounts and extend national reach without compromising leadership responsibilities.
· Maintain selected established customers outside core territories through a proportionate, predominantly remote service model, escalating field support where commercially justified.
· Identify smaller DSO opportunities alongside the DSO team, assessing location, site-level rollout, portfolio fit and service commitments before progressing agreements.
· Generate genuinely incremental opportunities for Straumann Group, maintaining clear differentiation from Straumann and Neodent and avoiding avoidable cross-brand cannibalisation.
3. Brand Development & Market Activation
· Work with the UK Product Manager to deliver agreed local brand activity; proactively identify needs, develop briefs and coordinate artwork, social media, sales materials and customer communications.
· Drive initiatives through to execution using available resources, while ensuring the Product Manager retains brand, marketing and compliance oversight and final approvals.
· Build and manage KOL, clinical advocate and education relationships; support study clubs, targeted events and practical education that increase brand awareness and clinician adoption.
· Feed customer feedback, competitor developments and local market insight into planning and improve activity based on commercial results.
4. Global & Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Act as the first UK & Ireland commercial contact for the global Anthogyr team in France, sharing market priorities, progress and feedback and accessing relevant expertise and assets.
· Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Education, the DSO team and Straumann/Neodent sales leadership to align activity and use resources effectively.
· Attend global reviews and working sessions, including travel to France when required; contribute insights to senior leadership while delivering the agreed strategic direction.
Experience & Skills
Essential:
· Proven sales management experience, including coaching, development conversations, performance accountability and delivery of results.
· Commercial judgement and ability to convert strategy into focused local plans, customer wins and measurable outcomes.
· Entrepreneurial, self-directed and pragmatic; able to shift between people leadership, customer work and brand activation without relying on extensive support.
· Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing and organisational skills across customer, functional and international relationships.
· A valid driving licence that permits the holder to drive in the UK.
· Ability to travel across the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays, and to travel abroad when required for the role.
· Right to work in the UK, subject to the company’s standard checks before employment starts.
Desirable:
· Dental, implantology or medical device experience; growing an emerging brand; distributor management; KOL/education activity; marketing collaboration; multi-brand or international experience. Leadership Behaviours:
· Entrepreneurial ownership and accountability; visible, hands-on coaching; commercial focus; collaborative influencing; strategic awareness with practical execution; agility and willingness to support customers directly.
Measures of Success
· Delivery of agreed revenue, acquisition, customer retention and sustainable growth objectives.
· Territory Manager capability and results; Ireland distributor performance against its business plan.
· Productive growth in the RSM’s defined local territory and effective service of selected out-of-area accounts.
· Execution of agreed KOL, education and brand activation initiatives with effective cross-functional delivery.
· Evidence of profitable, incremental growth with appropriate portfolio positioning and viable field-service coverage.
