About this role
KAVAK is looking for a commercially driven Automotive Inspector / Used Car Buyer – Closer to join
our sourcing team. This is a hands-on role combining vehicle inspection, valuation, negotiation and
deal closing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections covering body, paint, chassis, engine, transmission, suspension and
overall vehicle condition.
- Use diagnostic tools (OBD scanners, paint thickness gauges, tire tread gauges) to detect faults,
accident history or hidden damage.
- Road-test vehicles to assess drivability, noise, vibration and handling issues.
- Identify accident history, repairs, mechanical issues and factors affecting vehicle value.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and recommend the right purchase price.
- Meet sellers, understand their expectations and negotiate offers.
- Handle objections and close vehicle purchases within approved pricing guidelines.
- Maintain strong knowledge of UAE used-car prices, market trends and demand.
- Own the process from inspection to valuation, negotiation and purchase.
### Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of UAE automotive experience, preferably in vehicle inspection, used-car buying,
dealership or auction environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of used vehicles and valuation.
- Proven negotiation and closing skills.
- Commercially confident with the ability to buy the right car at the right price.
- UAE driving licence mandatory (manual and automatic).
- Good spoken English; Arabic preferred, Hindi a plus, for customer interaction.
