Position Summary
Ward International Trucks is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Representative to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting walk-in customers and customers over the phone with identifying, quoting, and purchasing truck parts. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, organized, and committed to providing excellent customer service while helping meet parts sales goals.
This is an inside sales position based at the dealership, with full-time hourly pay plus commission.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist walk-in customers and answer incoming phone calls to identify and fulfill parts needs.
- Identify the correct parts using electronic catalogs, part numbers, VINs, and vehicle specifications.
- Provide accurate pricing, availability, and quotes to customers.
- Process parts orders, sales transactions, returns, and special orders accurately.
- Recommend appropriate parts and related products to meet customer needs and increase sales.
- Coordinate with parts department staff, service advisors, and technicians to fulfill customer requests.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and maintaining inventory as needed.
- Follow up on orders and communicate updates to customers.
- Maintain an organized parts counter and professional customer service area.
- Work toward established sales goals while building lasting customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Previous truck parts, automotive parts, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication, telephone etiquette, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn parts lookup and inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work well with a team.
- Knowledge of International, Isuzu, or heavy-duty truck parts is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
