Expert DevOps Consultant with GCP

Type of contract: B2B contract

Salary range: 170 - 210 PLN/H

What will you do?

You will join an agile engineering team responsible for building and developing a highly resilient, scalable and performant cloud platform on GCP. You will combine hands-on DevOps engineering with technical leadership, working closely with application DevOps teams and cross-functional IT teams to automate infrastructure, improve cloud services, maintain security and operational standards, and support reliable application deployments.

Your tasks

- Build and manage the GCP foundation platform supporting application deployments

- Lead technical delivery and provide guidance on GCP and DevOps engineering practices

- Design and implement GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform

- Integrate, configure, deploy and manage common cloud services including IAM, networking, logging, operating systems and containers

- Manage software-defined networking in GCP

- Work with hardened Linux and Windows operating systems

- Ensure cloud solutions comply with defined security standards

- Ensure compliance with operational risk standards related to networking, firewalls, operating systems, logging, monitoring, availability and resiliency

- Build and support continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous testing processes

- Implement centrally provided platform and operating system patches

- Support non-functional testing activities

- Maintain operational and support documentation

- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support application teams

- Ensure effective change management practices in line with established standards

- Provide impact assessments for proposed changes to the GCP core platform

- Drive automation, platform reliability and continuous improvement across the cloud environment

Requirements

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform

- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform

- Experience building, managing and supporting cloud foundation or cloud platform environments

- Strong knowledge of GCP networking and software-defined networking concepts

- Good understanding of IAM and cloud security

- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems in enterprise environments

- Experience with container technologies

- Strong experience with CI/CD and automated deployment processes

- Understanding of logging, monitoring, availability and resiliency concepts

- Experience working with security and operational risk requirements in enterprise environments

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Experience supporting application teams and resolving cloud infrastructure issues

- Experience with change management processes in complex IT environments

- Ability to provide technical leadership and support engineering teams in technical decision-making

- Ability to work effectively in an agile and cross-functional environment

- Openness to work hybrid from our client's office (Kraków) 2 days a week
