Product Implementation Manager - Digital Port Solutions
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Department: Digital Port Solutions
Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Product Implementation Manager to lead the functional configuration, customer onboarding, and training of our Port Management Information System (PMIS) for customers globally.
The role combines software configuration, business process understanding, and direct customer engagement to ensure successful implementation and adoption of our solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the functional configuration and implementation of PMIS solutions for customers globally.
Configure out-of-the-box functionality, including vessel management, port calls, berth planning, marine services, operational workflows, notifications, and reporting.
Work with customers to define master data, business rules, user roles, permissions, and operational settings.
Ensure system configurations align with agreed business requirements and established product capabilities.
Identify opportunities to meet customer requirements through standard functionality rather than custom development.
Conduct customer workshops, product demonstrations, and hands-on user training.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live activities, and customer handover.
Maintain accurate configuration records, implementation checklists, training materials, and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
3-7 years of experience in enterprise software implementation, functional consulting, business analysis, or application configuration.
Experience configuring software solutions and translating customer requirements into functional system setups.
Strong communication, customer engagement, and training skills.
Ability to independently manage implementation activities and work with multiple customers.
Understanding of business processes, system testing, and data management.
Willingness to travel internationally when required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PMIS, PCS, port operations, maritime logistics, or transportation management systems.
Knowledge of vessel movements, berth planning, pilotage, towage, or marine services.
Experience with SQL, Jira, system integrations, or data migration.
Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) or equivalent.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a practical, customer-focused implementation professional who enjoys working directly with users, understands operational workflows, and can confidently configure enterprise software, solve problems, and train customers.
We value hands-on implementation experience, initiative, and the ability to make standard software work effectively for customers over purely theoretical project management knowledge.
And perhaps the most important qualification: a positive attitude! 😊
We have a great team, interesting projects, and plenty of expertise to share. We can teach you our products, port operations, and technical details - but enthusiasm, curiosity, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are what really matter!
