El Rio Golf Course , located in Tucson, Arizona is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Cook / Line Cook ! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Compensation: $19.40 per hour
Summary
The Line Cooks will assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager in preparing food for all food outlets on the property. Line Cooks will also perform other related tasks to food preparation and kitchen sanitation/cleanliness as directed by the Chef/Kitchen Manager. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines established by the Food Service and Safety Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learns and maintains standards in food production and quality.
- Expedites orders in a timely manner.
- Practices excellent operational sanitation.
- Executes scheduled banquet functions.
- Maintains a professional relationship with fellow associates.
- Helps reduce loss/waste.
- Communicates equipment repair needs with chef.
- Actively participates in training efforts.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Checks and dates all deliveries received and report any variances to chef in charge.
- Verifies that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned on a daily basis.
- Processes inventory requisition and receive supplies as necessary for quality production.
- Prepares the proper amount of food according to production or forecast sheets and production plans.
- Prepares items in accordance with established recipes for a consistent product.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of cooking experience
- Minimum education: High School (or equivalent) Diploma
- Flexible schedule and able to work weekends
