Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital - Haverhill MA
Full Time, 40 hours; 11pm-7am and every other weekend
CNA and Phlebotomy certification preferred
Perform Nurse Assistant Duties from 11pm-4am and Phlebotomy from 4am-7am
Pay Rate : $22-$24 per hour based on experience
Differentials paid in addition to hourly rate
Primary Responsibilities:
Nurse Assistant/C.N.A.;
- Continuously monitors/observes patients to assure needs are met in a timely manner.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living specific to culture, age and developmental level.
- Performs tasks/tests delegated by the registered nurse and reports/records data as needed.
- Performs advanced skills delegated by the registered nurse as deemed competent, reports/records data as needed. Checking vital signs, blood sugar, bladder scanning, strict intake and output monitoring and documentation
- Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients and unusual incidents.
Phlebotomy: : you will draw blood/labs as required/needed from 4am-7am.
Prerequisites:
- Must have current BLS Certification. We offer free classes for re-certifications.
- Nurse Assistant Certification or experience as nurse assistant strongly preferred
- Phlebotomy certification and experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Able to read, write and speak English.
