This role combines hands-on technical support with significant physical tasks, including installing equipment and running network cables, to ensure the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.
The assigned work schedule is based on operational coverage needs and may vary to support business operations. This position may be required to participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to urgent IT issues outside assigned work hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Resolve employee IT requests involving hardware, software, printing, and network connectivity. Prioritize issues affecting production and business operations and escalate complex or unresolved problems to the IT Manager or designated support providers.
· Document requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system. Communicate progress to employees, maintain technical procedures and knowledge-base articles, and provide clear handoffs for unresolved issues when transferring responsibility.
· Install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment in office and manufacturing environments. Support phones, mobile devices, barcode scanners, label printers, conference-room equipment, and shop-floor workstations as assigned.
· Coordinate changes that may interrupt business or production operations with the IT Manager and affected departments and obtain required approval before implementation.
· Install, label, and troubleshoot network cabling; assist with switch configuration and connectivity troubleshooting under established procedures and IT Manager direction.
· Assist with Windows Server support, including assigned user access, file-sharing, and routine troubleshooting tasks. Support Windows 11 endpoints and any remaining legacy Windows endpoints in the environment.
· Provide installation, access, and initial troubleshooting support for Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Sage 100 Advanced, and Autodesk Vault/Inventor. Coordinate advanced application, configuration, or development issues with the IT Manager or vendors.
· Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, password resets, multifactor authentication, and approved account and access changes according to established procedures.
· Assist with endpoint updates, software deployments, and approved security controls. Protect confidential information and promptly report suspected security incidents to the IT Manager.
· Maintain IT equipment inventory and assignment records; prepare equipment for employees; coordinate repairs and warranty service; and assist with secure equipment retirement under established procedures.
· Provide user guidance and training, and assist with IT projects, system upgrades, and other related duties as assigned.
· The role requires hands-on equipment installation and cabling and may involve lifting or moving hardware weighing up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, reaching, and working in areas with dust, noise, and temperature variations. Perform these activities using appropriate safety procedures and equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
