About this role

Join JPMorganChase's Global Security team, where your expertise will directly protect the people, places, and assets that power one of the world's most trusted financial institutions. This is your opportunity to lead at scale — shaping security strategy, driving operational excellence, and making a measurable impact across a dynamic regional portfolio.

As a Regional Security Leader, Vice President at JPMorganChase within Global Security, you will own the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of regional security programs that safeguard employees, customers, assets, and facilities. Reporting to senior security leadership, you will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and a trusted liaison to law enforcement — balancing tactical execution with long-term program development. Your work will directly support business continuity, crisis management, and a firm-wide culture of security awareness.

Job responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day regional security operations, including incident triage, escalation, and response based on severity; provide after-hours emergency support as required
- Manage the regional guard force program end-to-end, including performance oversight, invoice review, and expense validation
- Establish and oversee critical incident management processes — including control room and security operations capabilities where applicable — to support crisis management and broader security operations
- Conduct and oversee periodic security reviews, risk assessments, and security surveys in alignment with Consumer and Corporate Security standards; identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation plans
- Partner with internal stakeholders across investigations, fraud, Human Resources, Legal, Real Estate, and business management to support investigations and ensure proper documentation and chain-of-custody standards
- Maintain active relationships and communication channels with local, state, and federal law enforcement; coordinate planning for civil disturbances, protests, and external threats impacting locations or personnel
- Support security infrastructure and technology initiatives at assigned properties, including system lifecycle management and review and approval of lease riders tied to security requirements
- Deliver and coordinate security awareness and personal safety training — including robbery response, de-escalation, and workplace violence prevention — to promote a culture of security awareness across sites
- Use data and business intelligence tools to analyze trends, produce actionable insights, and communicate program status, risks, and needs to stakeholders and leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of security professionals, fostering a high-performance and continuous-learning culture
- Travel routinely within the assigned region, with occasional overnight stays as required

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

- Formal training or certification on Regional Security Leadership concepts and 10+ years applied experience in corporate or physical security, law enforcement, military, or a comparable field
- Proven experience developing and implementing security programs, including risk analysis, vulnerability identification, threat modeling, and security assessments
- Experience managing guard force operations, expense management, and budget accountability, including invoice review
- Strong knowledge of physical security technologies, systems, and vendors, including familiarity with Real Estate-related security requirements such as facility changes, new builds, and lease riders
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while balancing tactical execution, strategic planning, and competing priorities
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills; ability to analyze data and present insights to stakeholders and leadership across multiple functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; willingness to travel and be on-call; ability to obtain an HR218 license consistent with applicable laws and firm requirements

- Continuous improvement or process improvement mindset with demonstrated application in a security or operations environment
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new tools and software applications
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within a team
