About this role
Performs routine tests in various areas such as hematology, biochemistry, etc., using standard techniques and equipment. The Medical Laboratory Technician may make qualitative determination of sugar in urine, make blood cell counts, and prepare and mount specimens for microscopic examination.
- High School Graduate/Specialized Training
- Completion of an MLT training program
- CLST; Licensed in the state of Louisiana as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Technician; temporary or letter of pending permit issued by LSBME
