Job Description:
At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.

We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.
About the Role:

Remitly is seeking a deeply AI-forward Senior Engineering Manager to lead Corporate Security (CorpSec) and build agentic systems that secure our workforce, identities, and enterprise technology end to end. Our objective: every Remitlian works on accounts and devices that are secure by default, access is granted and removed automatically, and security moves at the speed of the business.

In this role, you will build and operate the identity, access, endpoint, and SaaS security controls that keep Remitly's workforce secure, and deliver the systems and software that automate them. You will lead a team of security engineers within Security & Privacy (S&P) and partner with IT, People, and engineering leaders to deliver paved roads that raise our security bar without creating friction for employees.

We are deeply AI-forward, and this role is a chance to build a team where everyone uses agents and code to land outcomes. If you have deep software engineering expertise, enterprise security breadth, a track record of building automation from the ground up, and a passion for business enablement, we want you leading our team.

You Will:

- Deliver workforce identity and access management (IAM) where safety is built in by default: single sign-on, phishing-resistant authentication, and joiner, mover, and leaver access that is granted and removed automatically.
- Build endpoint and SaaS security programs that keep devices and business applications hardened and monitored without slowing employees down.
- Ship automation that continuously finds and remediates misconfigurations and excess access across corporate systems, retiring manual reviews and producing audit evidence automatically.
- Partner with IT, Procurement, and business owners so new SaaS tools and integrations are onboarded securely and quickly.
- Partner with Detection and Response to turn identity and endpoint telemetry into detections and automated containment.
- Build a deeply AI-forward culture where everyone on the team uses agents and code to retire manual work.
- Hire and develop a top-performing team of security engineers and technical leads who can operate independently.
- Communicate programs, priorities, and risk tradeoffs to S&P leadership and partner leaders, translating technical work into business terms.
- Land measurable impact every week, while relentlessly driving toward ambitious, multi-year goals.

You Have:

- Proven software engineering depth: you've built, operated, and led production services at scale.
- Led and grown security or engineering teams that operate with proven leverage through AI.
- Demonstrated ownership of corporate security, including identity, endpoint, and SaaS security, at organizations with 1,000+ users.
- Delivered security automation using agent frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and CrewAI, and languages like Python and Golang.
- Command of identity platforms and protocols, like Okta, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
- Hands-on experience delivering production or open source software through agentic development.
- Landed security capabilities that measurably accelerate how employees and developers work.
- Experience building on cloud-native infrastructure, like AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes.
- Pair technical credibility with thoughtful communication to align leaders across Remitly, without relying on formal authority.
