About the Role (Job Summary)

McKesson is seeking a Senior Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized distribution center environment. In this role, you will perform a variety of custodial and facility maintenance duties, including floor care, restroom sanitation, waste removal, battery area upkeep, and general housekeeping throughout warehouse and office spaces.

This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating a safe and clean workplace, have experience operating cleaning equipment, and are comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:45pm

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

- Maintain cleanliness throughout warehouse, distribution center, office, and common areas.
- Perform routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, waxing, and buffing floors.
- Clean and restock restrooms, break rooms, and other employee areas.
- Remove trash, recycling, and other waste materials in accordance with facility procedures.
- Maintain industrial battery charging areas, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
- Operate custodial and floor-care equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and other powered cleaning equipment.
- Clean furniture, fixtures, walls, equipment, and other facility surfaces.
- Identify and report maintenance, safety, or housekeeping concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies and housekeeping standards.

Basic Requirements

- Typically requires 1+ years of related experience
- Experience operating powered cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, or similar machinery.
- Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning and safety procedures.

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, waxing, and polishing.
- Familiarity with industrial battery charging or battery maintenance areas.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain cleaning schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

- Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate custodial and powered cleaning equipment.
- Comfortable working in warehouse and industrial environments.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
