Lead HVAC Technician

We are looking for an experienced HVAC technician to help lead our small team of techs and mechanics. We are looking for someone who is motivated to provide excellent maintenance and service to our customers on a large multi-building campus.

Key job duties will include:

- Maintain boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors in central plant energy centers.
- Perform preventative maintenance on various types of air handlers.
- Maintain and repair VAV and fan-powered boxes.
- Operate equipment through BMS system (familiarity with Siemens and SCADA a plus.)
- Diagnose and repair controls systems related to HVAC equipment.
- Assist with pump and motor repairs and rebuilds.
- Respond to customer service requests.
- Direct and train other HVAC techs and mechanics on proper maintenance procedures while ensuring work is performed to site quality standards.
- Participate in call rotation.

Required qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years working as an HVAC technician (preferably in a commercial or industrial setting).
- Experience training and managing employees.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of HVAC equipment with minimal oversight.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for eight or more hours a day.
- Excellent communication skills with customers and fellow employees.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience working on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with chillers, boilers and hydronic systems.
- Experience with Siemens and SCADA BMS systems, or similar.
- LEB, LME, PJ or equivalent electrical license.
- EPA 608 License.
