Location: Greenville, MI
About Us:
At Tenneco, we’re on a mission. Guided by our Core Values and a winning mindset, we are committed to becoming the most trusted partner, manufacturer, and distributor in the transportation industry. What drives us? Our people are passionate changemakers who bring energy, dedication, and innovation to everything they do.
In this role, you will own the plant demand-to-delivery execution loop. You will convert customer demand and releases into a credible production schedule, control daily build execution, optimize WIP and finished goods, protect shipment commitments, and lead the plant S&OE cadence. Under P3 Integrated Supply Chain, you will create one aligned view of demand, capacity, materials, inventory, risks, and recovery priorities.
Who are you?
- Customer Demand Expert: Manage forecasts, releases, orders, lead times, requirements, scorecards, and volatility; maintain accurate data and challenge exceptions before delivery is affected.
- Scheduling Leader: Build executable schedules balancing customer priorities, capacity, changeovers, materials, labor, inventory, and flow; control changes and expose tradeoffs.
- Production Control Operator: Release and monitor orders, track build versus schedule, expose constraints, coordinate recovery, and align ERP with shop-floor execution.
- Customer Delivery Owner: Control backlog, shipment attainment, OTD/OTIF, scorecards, and recovery commitments; escalate risks early and communicate clearly with customers.
- S&OE Integrator: Lead daily and weekly reviews connecting demand, supply, production, inventory, logistics, and customer actions with clear owners and due dates.
Who will you set to win, and how will you do that?
- Customers and Commercial Teams: Provide credible commitments, early risk visibility, and disciplined recovery communication.
- Production: Provide a stable, prioritized, and executable schedule with clear constraints and recovery logic.
- Supply Planning: Translate the schedule into time-phased material requirements and shortage priorities.
- Plant Leadership: Provide one fact-based view of delivery, backlog, attainment, inventory, and execution risk.
What’s going to be your legacy?
- Demand Connected to Execution: A reliable process from customer signal through production schedule, build, shipment, and scorecard.
- Stable Production Scheduling: Lower schedule volatility, stronger adherence, and faster recovery when constraints occur.
- Improved Customer Delivery: Higher OTD/OTIF, fewer surprises, and accountable recovery for missed commitments.
- Healthy WIP and Finished Goods: Inventory targets aligned to demand, service, flow, and working-capital expectations.
- Effective S&OE: A short-horizon decision forum that resolves constraints, aligns functions, and closes actions.
Experience:
- Demand and Customer Planning: Experience with forecasts, releases, orders, customer requirements, backlog, and scorecards.
- Production Scheduling and Control: Experience creating finite schedules, sequencing, releasing orders, tracking attainment, and managing recovery.
- Inventory Optimization: Experience setting WIP and FG targets, monitoring coverage and turns, and reducing excess.
- S&OE and Cross-Functional Governance: Experience leading daily and weekly execution reviews with clear decisions and accountability.
- Systems and Analytics: Strong ERP/APS, Excel, and BI skills used to drive fast, fact-based decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of ERP/APS, Excel, and BI or customer-planning tools.
- APICS CPIM/CSCP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
- Strong customer orientation, communication, prioritization, and decision-making capability.
- Fluent in English and the local plant language, as required.
What we Offer:
- Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being.
- Work and learn in a fast-paced environment while shaping the P3 Integrated Supply Chain operating system.
- Hands-on exposure to Lean, ERP, Analytics, cross-functional problem solving, and plant transformation.
- Culture committed to excellence, simplicity, accountability, and becoming best-in-class.
