Infrastructure Specialist

Infrastructure Specialist, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Maintain systems are up and running with minimal downtime, monitor performance, and identify and resolve potential issues.  Handle and resolve incidents, conduct post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence, and develop automated solutions for common issues.  Develop and implement automation tools for deployment, configuration management, and monitoring, reduce manual effort, and improve consistency.  Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and work to meet or exceed performance and reliability targets.  Monitor system resource usage and forecast future needs to ensure systems can handle anticipated traffic and load.  Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and speed.  Collaborate with development teams to design and implement reliable and scalable systems and participate in design reviews.  Implement and maintain monitoring systems, set up alerts for potential issues, and analyze performance metrics.  Develop and implement infrastructure plans for servers, networks, and storage, including hardware and software installations.  Manage LANs, WANs, WLANs, and network security devices such as firewalls, routers, and switches.  Implement and maintain security protocols, policies, and tools to protect infrastructure and data.  Monitor system performance, capacity, and security continuously, resolve issues, and perform routine maintenance and upgrades.  Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to systems and infrastructure.  Utilize: AI Ops (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), AWS Cloud Platform, Observability (Monitoring, Logging & Tracing), Incident Management & Alerting, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipelines. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Engineering or related and five (5) years of experience as a Solution Architect, Infrastructure Specialist, Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or related. Five (5) years of experience must include utilizing AI Ops (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), AWS Cloud Platform, Observability (Monitoring, Logging & Tracing), Incident Management & Alerting, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipelines. $186,742–$230,000 per year.
