Food Runner – Job Summary
The Food Runner is responsible for ensuring food is delivered from the kitchen to guests promptly, accurately, and professionally. This role supports both the front-of-house and back-of-house teams by maintaining communication, verifying food presentation, and ensuring every dish meets the restaurants standards before reaching the guest. Food Runners help maintain a smooth service flow, keep the expo area organized, and assist servers with delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver food to the correct tables promptly and accurately.
- Verify food presentation, quality, and order accuracy before running dishes.
- Communicate effectively with expo, kitchen staff, servers, and management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expo area and throughout service.
- Assist servers with table maintenance, guest requests, and overall service needs.
- Demonstrate urgency, teamwork, attention to detail, and professionalism during peak business hours.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant service standards.
- Maintain a positive attitude and take initiative to support the team wherever needed.
