About the role

Ensure the effective transfer of engineering information to production and provide direct shop-floor support during the industrialization, implementation, and continuous improvement of industrial chillers. This position serves as the technical liaison between Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production, ensuring technical accuracy, manufacturability, and the controlled execution of engineering changes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sr NPI Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

- Provide engineering support for chiller manufacturing and continuous improvement activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Validate that engineering and design information is accurately reflected in BOMs, drawings, specifications, 3D models, and technical documentation prior to implementation in production.
- Interpret and review electrical and control schematics to support equipment assembly and validation; for Air-Cooled assignments, this may include chillers with capacities up to 850 tons of refrigeration.
- Lead manufacturability reviews, identify site-specific requirements, and translate them into executable actions.
- Coordinate MCS activities, prototype builds, pilot runs, SOP, and Safe Launch processes with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain ownership of PFEP, production readiness, project risks, stage gates, action plans, and exit criteria.
- Provide direct technical support during assembly, testing, product release, and ramp-up activities; document production-line findings, coordinate improvement proposals with Design Engineering, and ensure effective implementation of permanent corrective actions.
- Resolve product and BOM-related issues using structured problem-solving methodologies such as A3, 8D, 5 Whys, or equivalent approaches.
- Track and coordinate activities of the extended plant team, typically consisting of 10 to 20 participants depending on project scope, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and traceability requirements.
- Coordinate decision-making with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, and Design Engineering teams, including global stakeholders.
- Ensure that engineering-released changes are assessed for manufacturing impact and implemented through a controlled change management process.
- Maintain traceability of decisions, risks, engineering changes, lessons learned, and critical open product issues.
- Transfer product ownership to the manufacturing site by ensuring complete documentation, training, and product stability criteria are in place.
