Position: Senior Merchandiser (Kmart Accessories)
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end merchandising process for accessories, from product development and sourcing through to production and delivery.
- Work closely with buyers, designers and suppliers to deliver products aligned with design, quality, cost and delivery expectations.
- Source, develop and manage suppliers to strengthen the supplier base and support sourcing diversification.
- Lead costing and price negotiations to achieve competitive FOB pricing and margin outcomes.
- Review samples, identify discrepancies and coordinate improvements to ensure product accuracy.
- Partner with production and cross-functional teams to manage critical paths and drive on-time delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve quality, cost, lead time and overall execution.
Requirements
- 7+ years’ merchandising experience, ideally managing accessories from development through to delivery. Experience in a sizeable sourcing office is preferred.
- Strong experience in supplier sourcing, product development, costing and price negotiation.
- Experience in sourcing diversification is essential.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organisation and time management skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese/Mandarin.
- Familiarity with PLM systems, costing tools and merchandising/data management systems.
