Universal Robots, part of Teradyne Robotics, is the world market leader in collaborative robots (cobots), making products that empower our customers and positively transform the way they work. Teradyne Robotics is a division of Teradyne and includes Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR). Our global R&D organization of 200+ engineers builds the software and systems behind every cobot we ship.

Opportunity Overview

You will join a team of talented and passionate engineers developing, testing, and optimizing the software and systems that let us simulate our robot platforms and the environments they work in.

As a Full Stack Engineer on the Simulation team, you will build the web applications and services that make simulation usable for engineers, application teams, and customers. From configuring scenarios and importing customer environments, to launching and monitoring simulation runs, to exploring datasets and results, you will create the experiences that turn powerful simulation of UR cobots and MiR mobile robots into practical everyday tools.

This is a hands-on engineering role across frontend, backend, and visualisation. You will work with modern web frameworks, APIs, and browser-based 3D, and collaborate closely with simulation engineers, dataset engineers, designers, and the wider R&D organization in Denmark and Bangalore.

Your responsibilities and tasks include:

- Design and develop web applications for configuring, launching, monitoring, and analysing simulation runs.

- Build interfaces for importing customer models and environments and for creating custom scenarios and workflows.

- Develop scalable backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs that integrate with simulation, rendering, and compute infrastructure.

- Build browser-based 3D and data visualisations, including scene previews, robot trajectories, sensor output, annotations, and performance metrics.

- Develop dataset and asset library browsers that let users search, filter, and inspect large collections.

- Design data models and work with relational and NoSQL databases.

- Implement authentication, authorisation, and secure access to services and data.

- Write clean, well-tested, and documented code, and participate actively in code reviews to uphold engineering standards across the team.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling for web applications and services.

- Partner with users, designers, and product teams to translate workflows into intuitive, reliable product experiences.

All About You

We seek individuals who share our passion and determination. Our commitment to customer success drives us to go the extra mile. If you're ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.

- Experience designing REST or GraphQL APIs and working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.

- Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows.

- Solid understanding of web performance, security, and testing practices.

- Comfortable working in a Linux environment with modern development workflows.

Proficiency required in at least four of the following qualifications:

- Browser-based 3D with Three.js, WebGL, or WebGPU.

- Data visualisation libraries such as D3, Plotly, or ECharts.

- Real-time communication using WebSockets or streaming APIs.

- Kubernetes and cloud services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Message queues and job systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Celery.

- Building tools for ML, data, or engineering workflows.

- Robotics concepts or ROS2 integration from web applications.

- Design systems and strong UI/UX sensibility.
