About this role

JPMorganChase is a leading global financial services firm with a strong presence across Asia Pacific, serving corporations, governments, institutions and investors across Banking, Markets, Payments, Securities Services, Asset and Wealth Management services.

As an Executive Director in the APAC Firmwide Strategy team, you will support and advise the APAC CEO and APAC business leadership. You will shape the region’s strategic agenda, originate and evaluate growth opportunities, and drive critical initiatives from decision to execution. You will build relationships, drive consensus across diverse groups, and mobilize teams across a complex matrix to deliver measurable outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

- Own CEO-level problem statements: Translate APAC CEO and business leadership priorities into clear workplans, decision points, and executive-ready recommendations.
- Build relationships and trust: Establish a high-confidence advisory cadence with senior leaders across the region and globally; act as a neutral, outcomes-focused partner.
- Drive decisions and alignment: Lead senior stakeholder engagement across lines of business, functions, and countries; manage trade-offs and drive consensus.
- Originate growth initiatives: Identify and structure growth opportunities (clients, products, markets, organic/inorganic), build investment cases, and secure senior sponsorship.
- Lead end-to-end strategy delivery: Run hypothesis-driven work, shape direction, and convert strategy into execution roadmaps with owners, timelines, and KPIs.
- Create executive narratives: Influence with compelling storylines and deliver materials for CEO/business leadership forums.
- Build and lead high-performing teams: Set a strong operating cadence, coach junior team members, and deliver as “one team” with partners and stakeholders.
- Develop strategy capabilities: Raise the bar on structured thinking and communication; strengthen ways of working, including practical AI enablement where it improves productivity and quality.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

- 10+ years’ experience in top-tier strategy consulting, internal strategy, corporate development, or high-growth/entrepreneurial environments with increasing leadership scope.
- Demonstrated track record of building and scaling initiatives (not only analyzing): idea origination, executive buy-in, mobilization, and measurable delivery.
- Strong executive stakeholder management: credibility with senior leaders; ability to challenge constructively and influence without authority.
- Structured problem solver with excellent judgment; thrives in ambiguity and creates clarity quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication; can produce CEO-ready narratives with accuracy, speed and precision.
- Commercial acumen across diverse APAC countries, products and client segments; intellectual curiosity with strong market and competitor orientation.
