Ground Chief Engineer

Ensures proposals have sound technical solutions and schedules and drive affordability. Evaluates and ensures complex issues are resolved in a cost effective, innovative way. Ensure selected designs are robust and include appropriate margins to facilitate safety, performance, producibility and operational availability/supportability. Ensures program plans and technical baselines are consistent with Program Control processes and Modern Engineering Practices. Responsible for key decision making that impact businesses, the failure to achieve the objectives result in critical impact of program capabilities. Ensures identification of lessons learned, and corrective action are initiated and implemented to improve future and ongoing programs. Provides technical mentoring and career development support of team and allocates resources effectively. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Recognised expert in engineering, technology, or a related technical discipline. Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex technical programmes and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Extensive experience in systems development, engineering management, technical strategy, and programme execution. Proven track record of innovation, problem solving, risk management, and business growth. Strong customer engagement, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence senior leadership and shape long-term technical direction.
