About this role

Your Mission & Challenges

As Senior CI/CD Engineer, you make sure every NEURA team can go from commit to a tested, signed, releasable build – whether it's a cloud service, an AI model or the software running on our robots. You build the reusable pipeline components, and you sit with teams to get their pipelines right.

- Build the CI/CD catalog: Design, build and maintain reusable GitLab CI/CD components and templates (build, test, scan, package, release) that teams adopt instead of copy-pasting YAML.

- Master robot software pipelines: Build fast, reproducible pipelines for C++ and ROS 2 code bases. From CMake, Conan, compiler caching to cross-compilation for ARM and embedded targets.

- Package and release: Automate Debian packaging, multi-architecture Docker images and semantic versioning, through to release coordination for our robot products.

- Test where it matters: Integrate unit, integration and hardware-in-the-loop tests on real robots and in simulation into the pipeline.

- Run the runner fleet: Operate and scale our GitLab runners on Kubernetes and AWS providing x86 and arm64, GPU, smart caching all considering cost awareness.

- Secure the supply chain: Make vulnerability scanning, SBOM generation, artifact signing and secret-free cloud access part of every standard pipeline.

- Enable the teams: Act as consultant and sparring partner for robotics, AI and cloud teams, review their pipelines, pair on improvements and help them own build and run themselves.

- Connect build to delivery: Hand off artifacts cleanly to artifact registries (JFrog Artifactory, Harbor, EKS etc.) and to our over-the-air delivery via Neuraverse and GitOps-based deployments.

What We Can Look Forward To

- Proven experience: 5+ years in CI/CD, DevOps or build/release engineering, ideally in an embedded, robotics or automotive environment.

- GitLab expertise: Deep, hands-on GitLab CI/CD knowledge – components and catalogs, parent-child and multi-project pipelines, rules and runner administration.

- Native build know-how: Strong experience with C++ build systems (CMake, Conan or similar) and Linux packaging; ROS/ROS 2 experience is a strong plus.

- Containers and Kubernetes: Docker (multi-stage, multi-arch builds) and Kubernetes; AWS experience is valued.

- Scripting: Strong Bash skills, IaC with tools like Terraform – automate everything!

- Security mindset: Familiarity with supply-chain security, artifact management and OIDC-based authentication.

- Enablement mindset: You enjoy helping other engineers get better at build and run, rather than doing it for them.

- Communication: You explain trade-offs clearly to robotics, AI and cloud engineers alike. Professional English required; German a plus.
