About this role
You studied engineering to solve hard problems. Here, you'll solve them every single day.
At Formlabs, we’re building the tools that make it possible for anyone to bring their ideas to life, from cutting-edge products to life-saving medical devices. Our 3D printing technology powers innovation at more than 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, and NASA. Together, we’re helping everyone design, prototype, and manufacture faster than ever before.
We’re a team of hands-on builders, engineers, and innovators reinventing how the world makes physical things. If you’re ready to shape the future of fabrication, come build it with us.
Your Impact:
As a Technical Support Specialist , you’ll be at the heart of our technology. You’ll diagnose machine errors, analyze printer logs and work hands-on with hardware, firmware, software and materials to find the root cause of complex issues. This is a highly technical role where your engineering mindset is put to work every day.
What makes the role special is the combination of deep technical problem-solving and real human connection . Our customers are mainly engineers, dentists, jewelers and manufacturers who rely on Formlabs printers every day. You’ll turn your technical findings into clear guidance that gets them back to creating, and share your insights with our global engineering and product teams to shape the next generation of our printers.
This role is designed for fresh STEM graduates who love figuring out how things work and enjoy helping others succeed. We’ll give you in-depth, hands-on training on our printers, materials and software from day one, and support you in developing both your technical expertise and your communication skills.
For adventurous people: this role can open the door to rotations or growth paths into our engineering, product, quality and field service teams.
In this role you will:

- Troubleshoot and root-cause complex technical issues across mechanics, electronics, optics, firmware, software and resin/powder materials
- Analyze printer logs, error codes and print failures to pinpoint what went wrong, and why
- Run hands-on tests and reproduce issues on Formlabs printers in our Budapest lab
- Guide customers, distributors and resellers in the EMEA region through technical fixes by phone, email, chat and video, translating engineering findings into clear next steps
- Partner with our global engineering, product and quality teams: escalate bugs, document recurring issues and feed real-world data into product improvements
- Become an educator: train resellers and customers on Formlabs printers and help them deliver outstanding service
- Build and improve technical documentation and troubleshooting guides used across our global support team
