About this role

About the Company

Why We Built Lyric: Supply chains are more critical and complex than ever. Every day, large enterprises navigate trillions of possible decisions that could impact the bottom line. Powerful algorithms and AI can address these problems, yet most organizations struggle to leverage supply chain AI at scale. The current SCM technologies are either rigid, limited-scope point solutions or custom solutions built in-house, which demand immense expertise and investment.

That is…until now.

Enter Lyric : Lyric is an enterprise AI platform built specifically for supply chains, offering the best of both worlds:

- Out-of-the-box AI solutions for optimizing networks, allocating inventory, scheduling routes, planning fulfillment capacity, promising orders, propagating demand, building predictions, analyzing scenarios, and more, plus
- A platform-first approach that empowers both business and technical users with end-to-end product composability, leveraging no-code tools, their own code, or even forking our code to build and refine supply chain decision intelligence

With Lyric, enterprises no longer have to choose between flexibility and speed, they get both.

The Mission: We’re building a new era in supply chain with the team best equipped to lead it. With over 20 years at the intersection of supply chain and algorithms, we developed a deep conviction that global supply chains needed something like Lyric. Since our inception in December 2021, that conviction has been validated time and time again.

Today, a growing number of Fortune 500 companies, including Smurfit WestRock, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola, and more, are innovating on their own terms with Lyric. We can’t wait to see what our customers, both current and future, are empowered to build with us next. Come build with us!

The role

Supply planning connects demand to what a business can actually make, source and deploy. We are looking for someone who has worked as a planner, understands advanced planning systems, and wants to bring that experience into building a better planning product.

Your route may have been through consulting, product management or both. What matters is your understanding of real planning decisions and your ability to translate operating knowledge into clear, reusable capabilities. This opening focuses on supply planning, with demand-planning breadth valuable alongside it.

What you’ll own

- Understand planner problems in manufacturing and supply networks, including material and capacity constraints, production, inventory and deployment decisions.
- Translate recurring problems into product requirements and reusable capabilities, distinguishing shared planning patterns from customer-specific configuration.
- Work with planners and engineering to make constraints, scenarios, exceptions and overrides understandable and useful in the product.
- Contribute to prioritization, roadmap choices, validation and adoption, connecting product decisions to the operational outcomes they should improve.
- Explore where AI-assisted planning can reduce manual effort while preserving the explanation and control needed for consequential decisions.

What we’re looking for

- Prior hands-on experience as a planner, with specific examples of the decisions you owned.
- Experience implementing or working with APS vendors and an understanding of the planning problem beneath the software.
- Relevant progression into consulting, product management or a combination of the two. A consulting background is welcome; a current PM title is not essential.
- Supply-planning depth relevant to this opening. Breadth across demand and supply is valuable; explain where your strongest expertise lies.
- Ability to connect tools, planning logic and business strategy, and explain why a decision or design should change.
- Clear communication with planners and technical partners, with interest in turning operating expertise into a reusable product.

Good to have

- A combination of consulting and product experience, taking planning knowledge across multiple customers.
- Experience with constrained planning, production scheduling, deployment, inventory optimization or order promising.
- Examples of a reusable planning model, template, workflow or product capability emerging from recurring customer needs.
- Thoughtful experimentation with AI-assisted planning, including where human review and explanation remain important.

What the role is working toward

A supply-planning capability that reflects real operating constraints, earns planner trust and can be reused beyond a single implementation. The initial product area, roadmap and success measures will be agreed with planning leadership.
