## Job Description

Role Overview

The CAD Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, health, virtual infrastructure, hardware reliability, and platform operational readiness supporting the Motorola PremierOne (P1) Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. This role supports a 24/7/365 emergency communications environment and ensures continuous system availability, CJIS compliance, and infrastructure resilience.

The position requires strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration, automated monthly patching cycles, server hardware maintenance, and Red Hat OpenShift container platform support within high-availability public safety operations, as this is a new deployment without legacy virtualization software. Additionally, this role oversees CAD application server management, middleware services, and comprehensive user provisioning, including account management, role-based access control, and permission profiles.

This is an onsite position supporting a customer site in Escambia County, FL. Candidates must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week.

Core Responsibilities

- Patching & OS Updates: Manage and execute monthly Microsoft Windows Server patching cycles, OS updates, and security vulnerability remediation across all CAD infrastructure servers.
- Hardware & System Monitoring: Perform continuous system health monitoring, performance tuning, and proactive capacity planning for server and storage platforms. Monitor enterprise server hardware, storage arrays, and compute infrastructure; manage physical hardware replacements and vendor support engagements.
- Container Platform Support: Support and maintain containerized services operating on the Red Hat OpenShift platform hosting PremierOne CAD.
- Application Server & Middleware Management: Administer and maintain CAD application servers, middleware layers, and core service components to ensure seamless service delivery.
- User Provisioning & Access Control: Manage user account provisioning, configure role-based access control (RBAC), maintain user profiles, and enforce strict security permission sets within the system.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Maintain 24/7 operational readiness for Motorola PremierOne (P1 CAD) core infrastructure and backup environments. Maintain high-availability server cluster configurations, storage replication, and disaster recovery infrastructure procedures.
- Vendor & Incident Coordination: Coordinate with Motorola and third-party hardware/software vendors for infrastructure upgrades, firmware updates, and rapid issue resolution. Proactively perform root-cause analysis on system hardware failures or infrastructure degradation to enhance long-term system stability.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain CJIS-compliant infrastructure security controls, access auditing policies, and OS hardening guidelines.
- Operational Readiness: Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours infrastructure support and system maintenance windows. Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, standard operating procedures, and change management logs. Cultivate productive alliances with customers and technical teams to ensure technical infrastructure is tailored to operational needs.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in enterprise Windows Server administration, update management, and automated WSUS/SCCM patching workflows.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or administering Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes container platforms.
- Strong background in server hardware maintenance, RAID storage management, and hardware telemetry monitoring.
- Solid proficiency in CAD application server management, middleware configurations, and system service integrations.
- Proven track record in user provisioning, role-based access control (RBAC) administration, and permission profile management.
- Familiarity supporting infrastructure for mission-critical public safety platforms, including Motorola PremierOne (P1 CAD).
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills in high-pressure, 24/7 operational environments.
- Ability to support server infrastructure during active public safety incidents and maintenance windows.
- Effective communication with technical leads, command staff, and vendor support personnel.
- Understanding of CJIS Security Policy controls related to operating system security, user access control, and system hardening.
