About this role

The Company:

David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR, David is working to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond.

The Role:

David is hiring a Strategic Retail Analyst to help build and scale our Grocery channel. This person will work closely with the sales team to drive retail growth, analyze account performance, and identify opportunities to expand distribution and improve sales velocity across grocery customers.

We're looking for someone who is intellectually curious, highly analytical, and excited to apply rigorous problem-solving to a fast-growing consumer brand. You should be equally comfortable building a detailed financial model, analyzing retail performance, and translating insights into clear recommendations that drive the business forward.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Support the growth of David's Grocery channel, helping expand distribution and drive sales across retail accounts.
- Help identify, prospect, and pursue new grocery accounts to expand David's distribution.
- Build and maintain relationships with buyers, distributors, brokers, and other key retail partners.
- Support the sales process from initial outreach and sell-in through launch and ongoing account management.
- Help develop account strategies to drive distribution, velocity, and sales growth.
- Prepare for and participate in buyer meetings, presentations, line reviews, and negotiations.
- Support assortment, merchandising, promotions, and retail programs that drive trial and repeat purchase.
- Monitor account performance and analyze sales data to identify opportunities and address issues.
- Assist with sales forecasting and communicate expected demand, opportunities, and risks internally.
- Partner closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to successfully launch and support accounts.
- Represent David at trade shows, distributor meetings, customer events, and other industry events.
- Monitor grocery industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging retail opportunities.
- Help develop the sales processes, tools, and playbooks that will support David as we scale.
