The Head of CoE Digital & AI - North America (Canada, USA, Mexico) will lead and develop the North America (NA) Centre of Excellence for Digital & AI (COE DAI) within Covestro's Supply Chain & Logistics global organization, covering Canada, USA, and Mexico. They will drive regional DAI performance, program delivery, and stakeholder adoption to accelerate the digital and autonomous supply chain transformation across the NA region. This position reports directly to the Head of Global COE Digital & AI.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Drive DAI KPI performance across the NA region by monitoring and steering key metrics — including digital and AI tool adoption rates, efficiency gains, process automation coverage, and autonomous supply chain maturity levels — to ensure measurable and sustained progress toward global COE DAI targets.
- Lead and sponsor regional DAI programs and projects by acting as project sponsor or program lead for NA-initiated initiatives (e.g., Process Automation Platform, regional analytics deployments), and as regional oversight and escalation point for global initiatives (e.g., Covestro Supply Chain Assistant, Supply Chain & Commercial Analytics & Intelligence Platform, Customer Frontend Platform), ensuring regional adoption milestones and delivery quality are achieved.
- Engage and align regional stakeholders through structured communication plans, capability-building workshops, training programs, and feedback loops to embed DAI solutions into supply chain operations and build lasting digital literacy across the NA organization.
- Direct and develop the NA COE DAI team of 7 direct reports (data scientists, project managers, analysts, and data engineers) by setting clear objectives, managing performance, and fostering a high-performance and innovation-oriented team culture aligned with global COE DAI strategy.
- Coordinate cross-regional COE DAI extended teams on subject-matter topics — particularly KPI governance, methodology alignment, and global initiative contributions — to ensure consistency, knowledge sharing, and coherent execution across regions.
- Manage the NA COE DAI project portfolio and budget by prioritizing initiatives, allocating resources, overseeing project governance, and ensuring delivery within approved budgets and timelines to maximize return on digital investment.
