About us

The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital role in UK financial services. Every day we help resolve disputes between consumers or small businesses, and their financial service providers.

This role is part of the Digital, Content and Brand team, which sits in the Communications team. The Digital, Content and Brand team oversees our external-facing digital channels – as well as our brand and tone.

Creative and passionate about design, you’ll play a vital role in the translation of our brand in design outputs, ensuring our brand is protected and enhanced through all our engagement. Working collaboratively with the team you’ll provide vital logistical and administrative support to help ensure our brand is used effectively across all touchpoints. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our outputs are accessible for all our customers.

Working with the Brand and Design Manager – and building on the success of our long-established brand – you’ll ensure that we’re able to evolve our brand to reflect the Financial Ombudsman Service we are and that our customers expect.

You’ll be comfortable working in a culture which promotes continual improvement and development, and you’ll have a keen interest in all things design and digital. You’ll promote the use of evidence and testing to learn from what’s gone well and what can be improved. You’ll be willing to be hands on and have a drive to learn new skills and keep them up to date.

As part of the Digital, Content and Brand team you’ll ensure that we’re engaging with key stakeholders across the organisation. You’ll promote the importance of brand protection and provide guidance and advice in its application.

- Supporting the Brand and Design Manager with the continual development and implementation of our brand guidelines and being an ambassador for our brand across the organisation.

- Maintaining creative asset and template libraries, sourcing and editing stock imagery, supporting photoshoots and filming.

- The measurement of the work of the team, including reporting on analytics for the brand and tone guidelines and video animation metrics.
