The role provides leadership to infrastructure engineers, administrators, and service partners while working closely with cybersecurity, application, business, and global IT teams. It translates regional business needs into infrastructure priorities and ensures that operational services and transformation initiatives are delivered with clear accountability.

The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure and service-management expertise with practical business judgment, people leadership, vendor management, and the ability to communicate operational risk, investment needs, and technology choices to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Strategy & Leadership

- Define and execute the regional infrastructure roadmap in alignment with business priorities, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity requirements, and global IT direction.
- Establish infrastructure standards, governance, service ownership, and operating practices across the regional environment.
- Lead modernization initiatives covering network, cloud, server, storage, workplace, and site infrastructure services.
- Provide direction, coaching, and performance leadership to internal team members and external service partners.

Infrastructure Operations & Reliability

- Ensure the availability, performance, capacity, reliability, and resiliency of critical infrastructure services.
- Oversee network, server, virtualization, cloud, storage, backup, end-user computing, collaboration, and site infrastructure services.
- Lead operational disciplines including incident, problem, change, configuration, capacity, and service continuity management.
- Establish monitoring, escalation, and root-cause practices that reduce repeat incidents and improve service stability.

Cybersecurity, Risk & Business Continuity

- Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement infrastructure security controls, hardening standards, and vulnerability remediation plans.
- Ensure infrastructure services comply with corporate policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations.
- Lead infrastructure disaster recovery planning, testing, remediation, and readiness reporting.
- Maintain visibility of operational risks, technical debt, lifecycle exposure, and required mitigation actions.

Service Delivery & Vendor Management

- Manage infrastructure service providers, telecommunications partners, cloud vendors, and technology suppliers.
- Define and monitor service levels, operational KPIs, contractual commitments, and continuous-improvement plans.
- Hold partners accountable for service quality, issue resolution, cost transparency, and measurable outcomes.
- Optimize the sourcing model while preserving service ownership, technical knowledge, and operational control.

Project Delivery & Transformation

- Lead the infrastructure workstream for business projects, site changes, technology transformations and upkeep.
- Ensure infrastructure requirements, dependencies, risks, resources, and cutover activities are identified and managed from planning through stabilization.
- Coordinate with application, data, cybersecurity, manufacturing, and business teams to enable successful deployments.
- Balance delivery speed with security, operational readiness, supportability, and long-term sustainability.

Financial & Resource Management

- Manage infrastructure budgets, forecasts, investment plans, purchase commitments, and cost-optimization initiatives.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for infrastructure investments, lifecycle replacements, and risk remediation.
- Plan team capacity and partner resources to support operational demand and project priorities.
- Identify opportunities to simplify the technology landscape and reduce avoidable operating expense.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

- Serve as the primary regional point of accountability for infrastructure services, priorities, and operational performance.
- Communicate service health, business impact, major risks, recovery plans, and investment needs clearly to IT and business leadership.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Develop team capability, succession coverage, and cross-training for critical infrastructure responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, technology operations, or enterprise service delivery, including leadership responsibility.
- Experience managing enterprise network, server, virtualization, cloud, storage, backup, workplace, and site infrastructure services.

Qualifications:

- Experience leading internal technical teams and third-party managed service providers in a complex enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience with IT service management practices, operational governance, incident resolution, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, vendor-commercial management, and investment justification.
- Proven ability to translate technical risks and options into clear business implications and recommendations.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or other business-critical operational environments strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, monitoring, identity, cybersecurity controls, and ITIL practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, and team-development skills.

Benefits include:

- Flexible work hours/hybrid work environment
- Medical, dental, vision and life insurance
- Competitive holiday and vacation time off program
- Retirement Savings Plan (401(k)) with relevant company contribution.
- Discounted products and an EAP upon hire and tuition reimbursement after 12 months of service
