This is an excellent opportunity for a PCV licence holder looking for a stable role within a professional transport environment, with career development opportunities including progression into bus driving and other operational roles.

Location: Various Locations Across London Salary: £16.03 per hour Contract: Permanent

The Role

As a PCV Shunter, you will play an important part in ensuring our fleet is fuelled, clean, correctly positioned, and ready for service. Working within a busy garage environment, you will safely move buses around the depot, support vehicle preparation activities, and help maintain the high standards expected across our operation.

No two days are the same, and you'll work closely with engineering, cleaning, and operational teams to keep services running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely manoeuvre buses within the garage and depot environment

- Position vehicles in accordance with parking plans and allocator instructions

- Refuel vehicles and carry out basic fluid checks

- Conduct visual inspections and report any defects, damage, or safety concerns

- Move buses for cleaning, maintenance, and workshop activities

- Liaise with cleaning teams to ensure buses meet presentation standards

- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and fuelling activities

- Follow all health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures

- Support the effective day-to-day running of garage operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A full UK PCV licence

- Experience or confidence driving large vehicles in confined spaces

- A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- A reliable and professional attitude

- The ability to work independently and use initiative

- A flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings and weekends

- A good level of physical fitness, as the role can be active and physically demanding
