About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
The Experience
We are looking for a Vice President of Product Management to join Emerging Technology within Salesforce's Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) organization. As a member of the Emerging Technology leadership team, you will shape product strategy, build and lead the product management team, and translate emerging technologies into measurable value for Salesforce as Customer Zero and for our external customers.
Your portfolio will span experimentation programs that improve AI agents and support product-led growth; tools and shared-context capabilities that help employees build and deploy software more effectively; and customer-facing experiences across web, onboarding, self-service, and in-product surfaces. You will partner across Salesforce to identify opportunities, move quickly from ideas to working products, and use evidence to guide continued investment and improvement.
This role combines direct leadership of product managers with cross-functional leadership of flexible, mission-focused pods. Working with engineering, design, data, and business partners, you will help assemble teams around specific outcomes and adapt their composition as priorities evolve. Product ownership and delivery responsibilities will vary by initiative, requiring clear agreements and strong partnerships across organizational boundaries.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Set product strategy and priorities. Translate customer needs, business goals, and emerging technology opportunities into a clear portfolio strategy and actionable roadmaps. Make deliberate choices about where to experiment, invest, scale, or stop.
- Build and lead a strong product management team. Hire, coach, and develop product managers who combine customer understanding, technical fluency, sound judgment, and a commitment to measurable outcomes. Build a culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning.
- Lead through flexible, cross-functional pods. Partner with functional leaders to bring together the capabilities each mission requires. Establish clear outcomes, decision rights, and responsibilities, and help teams form, adapt, and transition as work evolves.
- Use experimentation to drive continuous improvement. Lead programs that test hypotheses, evaluate results, and turn learning into incremental improvements in agent performance and product-led growth. Partner with experimentation platform and data teams to apply appropriate methods, reliable measurement, and clear success criteria.
- Accelerate software creation for builders across Salesforce. Shape tools and workflows that help engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders use AI and coding tools to develop and deploy software. Prioritize the needs of our core builder and pod community while creating capabilities that can serve a broader employee population.
- Reduce coordination overhead through shared context. Develop product capabilities that make relevant requirements, decisions, knowledge, and work visible and usable across people, teams, and agents. Help builders spend less time reconstructing context and managing handoffs, and more time delivering useful software.
- Deliver and improve customer-facing experiences. Partner with other Salesforce organizations on experiences spanning discovery, onboarding, self-service, and ongoing product use. Establish an appropriate ownership model for each initiative and align teams around customer value, adoption, and business outcomes.
- Connect Customer Zero learning to broader product opportunities. Use Salesforce's internal experience to surface customer needs, validate approaches, and inform the wider product portfolio. Communicate strategy, evidence, and tradeoffs clearly to executives, partners, and customers.
You're Our Person If...
- Product leadership and organizational development. A record of setting product direction, delivering meaningful customer and business outcomes, and hiring and developing strong product managers.
- Relevant depth across one or more of these areas, with the ability to engage across all three:AI and agentic tools: Experience developing AI-enabled products, improving agent experiences, or applying AI and coding tools to how people build and work.Experimentation at scale: Experience using structured experiments and measurement to guide ongoing product improvement, with an understanding of hypothesis design, interpretation, and the limits of the evidence.Platform product development: Experience building reusable capabilities, developer or builder tools, or shared services that support multiple teams and use cases.
- Customer and growth orientation. Experience translating user needs into products people adopt and continue to use. Relevant experience may include customer-facing products, internal platforms, onboarding, self-service, or product-led growth.
- Technical fluency and practical judgment. The ability to work closely with engineering, design, and data partners, assess tradeoffs, and balance speed with quality, reliability, and trust.
- Leadership across organizational boundaries. Success aligning teams you do not directly manage, establishing shared priorities, and delivering in complex environments with evolving responsibilities.
- Clear communication and comfort with ambiguity. The ability to explain strategy and decisions to different audiences, create direction when the path is uncertain, and adjust as evidence and priorities change.
- We welcome leaders with different combinations of experience. You do not need equal depth in every area; we value demonstrated strengths, sound product judgment, and the ability to learn and lead across a varied portfolio.
