About this role
Boxcar Hyde Park is our neighbourhood coffee shop and bakery, sitting just moments from Hyde Park in Connaught Village. Built around great coffee, brilliant baking and genuinely warm hospitality, it’s a busy little spot with plenty of personality.
The counter is filled with pastries, cakes and bakes made by our bakery team, alongside breakfast and lunch dishes, sandwiches and seasonal specials.
We’re excited to welcome an enthusiastic and dedicated Waiter/Waitress to our team.

What the waiter/waitress role involves
- Greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring every visit starts on a high note
- Taking orders, serving dishes and drinks, and providing recommendations with confidence and care
- Recognising the pace of service, knowing when to step it up and when to create calm, relaxed moments for our guests
- Learning and mastering our menu, from morning pastries and coffee to lunch dishes and wines
- Supporting smooth service by keeping the floor and service areas clean, organised, and ready
- Contributing to a positive, team-focused atmosphere and helping each other succeed

- Someone who takes pride in great service and presentation
- Organised, reliable, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Curious and open to learning, whether that’s deepening product knowledge or growing into new responsibilities
